EKOS and Abacus Confirm 7-8 Point Tory Lead

Two national polls were released this week: EKOS and Abacus. The results were strikingly consistent with other December and January polls in all regions, so there's basically nothing to be said. It seems that Canadians are basically in a wait-and-see mode - specifically, wait for an election, see what different parties are offering, and only then change their allegiance if necessary.

The seat projection changed little:

CON - 137
LIB - 86
BQ - 52
NDP - 33

The average Tory-Grit gap is unchanged at 7.7%.

Canadian now and always said...

I find it hard to understand the Canadian mentality. Pierre and Cretian catered to Quebec to the detriment of the rest of Canada. It seems we need a party that wants to split the country and still get our tax dollars at the same time. A party that represents one Province. Harper has done a heck of a good job in keeping this country strong and all he gets is heckling from the other party leaders who remind me of the three stooges. Use your brains Canadians, think of what you are doing when you vote. If you hate Canada and our values please get the hell out of our country. If you love Csnada then think. Maybe Mr. Harper doesn't inspire you because of his looks. To me he looks very bit a credible and stable individual. Try to forget your petty personal grievances and give the man credit for what he has accomplished. What he is trying to do. He has given us stability in a world of instability. He is trying to curb crime so Canadians can walk at night anywhere without fear. Yet so many of you want to sabotage his efforts because you listen to the three stooges and the foolish criticisms you hear that are half trues. Please I don't want to confuse you with the facts. I've lived here all my life of 80 years and after all the garbage I heard I can only give my vote to Mr. Harper. He may not be perfect but he is the most perfect of all of them.

wow - seems you live with the guy - the rest of us just look in through a foggy window? Please - you know as much about this guy as the average Canadian - it's one thing to support a party - another to claim you know better what is truth. Nice
